Stephanie Karikari launches ISpeakFor Peace project
To former Miss Ghana, Ms Stephanie Karikari, peace is everything a country needs to move forward. For this reason, she last week launched her peace campaign dubbed ISpeakForPeace ahead of the 2016 polls.
A video of messages from various musicians, actors, journalists and businessmen wishing Ms Karikari well on the project will soon start showing on a number of television stations. Personalities in the video include Jon Benjamin, Kofi Amoabeng, Bola Ray, KOD, Giovanni Caleb, Chief Dele Momodu, Efya, Nana Aba Anamoah, Mark Okraku Mantey, Sandra Ankobiah, Becca, Jay Foley, Doreen Andoh and Henry Adofo. The ISpeakForPeace campaign, which takes off today, November 12, will see Ms Karikari in some parts of Accra preaching peace before, during and after this year’s general elections. According to Ms Karikari, the ISpeakForPeace campaign is a self-financed project she has been working on over the past three months. She said she was not ready to accept any donation from political parties to help fund the campaign. Present at the launch of ISpeakForPeace were businessman, Kofi Amoabeng, actress Bibi Bright, singer Irene Logan, actor Henry Adofo and others. She told the Daily Graphic that though it wasn’t easy coming by funds for the project, she strived hard to get some resources because she knew it was a good cause.“ I almost gave up on the idea but I thank my able team who always motivated me not to let go of it,” she said.
