Obaapa Christy shines on Let It Go.
SHE usually sings in Twi but this time around, Gospel musician Obaapa Christy has decided to go all English with her latest single, Let It Go.
Actually, Let It Go is not her first English song. She has done a couple sometime ago such as Hossana and Are You Ready but it seems they had a ‘short shelf life’ but Let It Go has the potential to be a banger. It is something else.
For two decades and more, Obaapa Christy has wormed her way into the hearts of Gospel music followers and she is sure to win more admiration with her latest song.
Let It Go, rendered fully in the English language is a test of Obaapa Christy’s versatility and she did prove her mettle.
Written by Nana Franke and recorded by Osei Drummer, Let It Go praises God for all the wonderful things He keeps doing in the lives of those who seek Him.
On the song, Obaapa Christy sings her heart out praising her Maker for His unconditional love for her.
Obviously, Obaapa Christy had a good shot at Let It Go considering that it is contemporary, which is a new terrain for her.
The seasoned Gospel artiste who marked 20 years in the Gospel industry last year is known for other songs such as Moving Forward, Dabiaa, I Am Coming Out, The Glory, Wa Gye Me, Hyebre Sesafo among others.
Obaapa Christy who is currently in Germany told Graphic Showbiz she will be back later this month to start earnest promotion of her new piece.
“It is my wish that Let It Go will go viral because I’m confident in the elements that went into its production. Anyone who has listened to it gives a positive comment. It cuts across both the local and foreign market,” she said.
