Live band performers deserve greater recognition - Frankie Payper

Ghanaian music sensation Frankie Payper has emphasized the need to appreciate and recognize live band performers for their significant contributions to promoting Ghanaian music both locally and internationally.

Frankie Payper, renowned for his role as one of the lead singers of the globally acclaimed Safoa Band, expressed his concerns about the underappreciation of live band musicians within the music industry, where their efforts often go unnoticed and unrewarded by existing award schemes.

Highlighting the pivotal role of live band performers, Frankie Payper emphasized how they play a crucial part in showcasing the essence of Ghanaian music, enabling listeners to truly appreciate the rich rhythm and meaningful lyrics of the songs produced by artists.

"I firmly believe that live band performers have not received the recognition they deserve in the music industry, despite their significant contribution in promoting Ghanaian music on both local and international platforms. Therefore, I urge all live performers to unite and form an association that will foster the growth and popularity of live band music, which I consider to be the backbone of Ghanaian music," he stated.

When questioned about his solo music career, Frankie Payper revealed that he recently released his new single titled "Complete Me," which addresses various relationship issues.

"My latest song, 'Complete Me,' has just been released, and I encourage true Afrobeats enthusiasts to stream it. The song delves into the intricacies of love, and I believe it will not disappoint," he added.

Under the banner of Gold Dust Records, Frankie Payper's "Complete Me" has been accompanied by visuals on YouTube, while the audio version is available on various streaming platforms.
