Here come the divas
The last time that the four of them performed on the same stage on the same night was at the Red Lipsticks show in Accra in 2011.
Two years on, admirers of Ghana’s top female music artistes will have the chance to see Becca, Raquel, Eazzy and Efya again under one roof at the Miss Malaika grande finale scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at the National Theatre.
CharterHouse, organisers of the Miss Malaika show must have a good reason for bringing the four well-loved performers together on one bill.
Whatever the reason, a CharterHouse official says it has nothing to do with settling the issue of which female performer rocks best in this country.
“Since we released the names of the performers, lots of people have been guessing that we informally want the public to decide on who the best female performer is here.
“That’s not our intention at all. We simply want everybody to have fun on the night and we think those young ladies can provide the sparks for that,” the CharterHouse official pointed out.
The four ladies have established their credibility through their different approaches. Each of them is unique in her own way and the hope is that they don’t take the shine away from the 10 ladies competing for what the organisers refer to as ‘the car, cash and crown’ from 8.00pm on Saturday.
