Emerald Necklace starts on Viasat 1 tomorrow

Romina and Martin in Emerald NecklaceViewers of Viasat 1 have enjoyed back-to-back interesting and suspense-filled broadcast of telenovela series. And this will continue even as the current one, A Shelter For Love ends today, Monday September 30.
A new telenovela, Emerald Necklace takes over from tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1.at 6:30p.m. The new series is about love, survival and revenge, with Martin and Romina as the main characters.

Martin, a well-known architect has been living abroad for some time. His estranged father, Alfredo, owner of a successful construction company, dies under mysterious circumstances. Martin returns to Argentina when he hears that his mother is ill, unaware that his life is about to change forever.

Romina is a beautiful woman who has lived in abject poverty ever since her father, Alfredo's assistant, lost his job. Romina and her father struggle to survive although they own a priceless emerald necklace, given to them by Alfredo on his death bed.

When they finally decide to sell the necklace to make life better for themselves, Romina's father is brutally murdered.

When Romina first meets Martin, she is attracted to him, but wants nothing to do with him or his family, whom she blames for her dire straits. Martin is however drawn to her, not knowing that they share a mutual pain.

Unknown to them both, their fathers were murdered by the same man - Victor who is Martin's uncle. Victor, an unscrupulous man now heads the construction company, and will do everything in his power to destroy Martin, whose return hinders his malevolent plans.

As Martin and Romina get closer, they realise that they share not only intense feelings, but a desire to discover the truth and avenge the deaths of their fathers.

Be prepared to embark on another exciting journey of love, suspense, romance, and the quest for revenge on Emerald Necklace. It airs from Monday to Thursday.
