Emelia Arthur unveils campaign and album
The Apostolic Church Ghana Auditorium near the Lapaz Community Clinic in Accra was Saturday, November 29 transformed into a grove of entertainment and nationalism when gospel singer Emelia Arthur launched her Buy Made-In- Ghana campaign and Kyere Me Kwan album.
With guest artistes including Mavis and OJ in attendance, there was a lot of music to delight guests, many of whom danced their hearts out at the function.
Emelia Arthur’s slogan for the Buy Made-In- Ghana campaign is ‘Consume What We Produce, Produce What We Consume.’
Chairman for the occasion was Dr Nana Obeng Wiabo V, chief of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region.

He said it was ironical that though this country is blessed with vast forest reserves, we still import tooth picks.
She commended Emelia for embarking on such a patriotic campaign for a better Ghana tomorrow.
“Our President gave us some joy not too long ago when he went to Parliament. He showed us the shoes he was wearing which were made in Ghana. Patronising our own is the only way to gain economic independence for this country,” the Gomoa Nyanyano chief said.
Emelia herself performed songs from the Kyere Me Kwan album after it was officially unveiled. Copies were auctioned at the event.
Produced by Adfirst Consult and engineered by Shadrach Yawson, the Kyere Me Kwan album contains tracks like Nyame Ye, Eye Yesu, Amma Mu, Me Danwo and Ne Nsa Enyetia.
Featured singers on the album are Esther Smith and OJ. Some of the first-rate instrumentalists on the project include trumpeter Osei Tutu, guitarist Domini Quachie and bassist Dan Grahl.
The launch ceremony was attended by a fair amount of people from the clergy and the gospel music front including singer Grace Ashie and Rev. Gabriel Ansah of Adom FM.
