Beneath the Poetry Baobab with Prof. Ladé Wosornu
Tomorrow, March 18, the Du Bois Memorial Centre and Values For Life will celebrate the poetry works of Ghanaian surgeon and poet, Prof Ladé Wosornu.
The free-admission event dubbed Beneath the Poetry Baobab with Prof. Ladé Wosornu, is a commemoration of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) World Poetry Day.
It is designed to give an opportunity to the audience to interact with the poet on the aspects of poetry.
Prof. Ladé Wosornu is a member of Ghana Association of Writers and the author of the popular poems: The Master Brewer and Desert Rivers.
There will be enactments of selected poems by Prof. Ladé Wosornu.
Players include the Creative Writers Club of the University of Ghana, Theatre students of the University of Ghana, Play House.kom and Professional young Ghanaian Spoken word artists.
All enactments are choreographed and directed by fast rising poet, playwright and artistic Director, Oswald Okaitei, Each enactment will be followed by question and answer session.
Also, there will be exhibitions of the professor’s works, photo opportunities for patrons with Prof. Wosornu, among others.
