Uncle Ato, Joe Mettle for Jericho Accra
For over a decade, he has blessed lovers of gospel music with soul inspiring music and it will be no different when award winning gospel artiste, Uncle Ato, leads a pack of audience at the Unique Event Centre at this year’s Jericho Accra which is scheduled to begin tomorrow, October 7.
The two- day event is expected to be filled with praise and worship in appreciation of God’s protection in the third quarter of the year.
Apart from Uncle Ato, other gospel artistes billed for the event are Joe Mettle, Ceccy Twum, Maame Serwaa and the Harmonic Cedars.
An inter-denominational service, Jericho Accra has provided the platform to bring Christians from various walks of life together to have an encounter with God.
Prophet Emmanuel Adjei, host of the event said Jericho Accra is “to redirect people who have been carried away by the happenings of the world”.
"We are using praise and worship, motivational sessions and the word of God to have an impact on the lives of the people,” he said.
Citing a biblical story to buttress his point, Prophet Adjei said Joshua led the Israelites to pull down the wall of Jericho and triumph over their enemy with praise and worship. That, he said, demonstrates the latter’s power.
The event which also has Reverend Dr Stephen Yenusom Wemgam as guest speaker begins at 6pm each night.
