Rass Bumba plays at Cave Lounge
Innovative bass guitar player, singer and songwriter, Rass Bumba will be one of the featured artistes when the renovated Cave du Roi night club at Osu in Accra re-opens tomorrow, November 29 as the Cave Lounge.
Rass Bumba is a first-rate bassist and is highly regarded, especially on the reggae circuit.
He has played bass for known reggae acts like Rhythm Kings, Blakk Rasta and Black Prophet.
He has a peculiar approach to songwriting as evidenced on his Sunshine album. Tracks on the album like Sweeteten Things, Good Times Roll and Danquah Circle contain elements of a deep-thinking writer bidding his time to explode big on the popular music scene.
“It’s going to be fun at Cave Lounge. I’m rearing to let those who turn up into my style of music,” Bumba says.
Billed to contribute to the fun tomorrow from 6.30pm are keyboardist-singer Bessa Simons as well as singer Della Hayes and her Dzesi all-female band.
The management of Cave Lounge is putting on the re-opening bash in collaboration with Umbra Entertainment Ghana. Fiifi Banson of Peace FM would be the emcee at the event.
The Cave Lounge is located at First Ringway Link, near the SSNIT Specialist Hospital at Ringway Estates, Osu.
