Angelina Jolie in car crash

The Hollywood actress was returning from a screening for her new film Unbroken when the car reportedly skidded, hit a kerb, and two of her tyres exploded.

X17 Online reports the star remained in the hire car following the smash, and waited for another car from the same company to pick her up.

A source told the site: "The car slammed into the curb at a significant speed. Angelina must have wondered if they hit another car.

"It was pretty bad - the tire exploded and it's amazing nothing worse happened to the car. I wouldn't be surprised if she has whiplash."

It is unknown if Angelina suffered any injuries in the crash.

She had been at a screening for hew new film just hours before, and stole the show once again in a white coat and matching skirt.
