Access Bank unveils new brand identity
Access Bank Ghana has unveiled its new brand identity to signify the company’s global appeal and strategy.
The bank’s new visual identity is designed to make it one of the largest retail banks in Ghana and Africa’s gateway to the world.
A release issued in Accra yesterday said, “the new visual identity includes a new logo, unique brand colours and a refined brand promise.
“The rebranding comes on the back of the successful merger between the parent company, Access Bank Plc and erstwhile Diamond Bank in Nigeria”.
It explained that the rebranding process began after subsequent approval was received from the Bank of Ghana.
Reflecting the brand
The release indicated that all Access Bank branch locations and offices in Ghana were expected to portray a reflection of the new identity.
“Beginning today, all Access Bank branch locations and offices in Ghana will be transformed to reflect the new identity,” it stated.
The Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Mr Olumide Olatunji, noted that the bank would strive to offer better services and ensure the country’s development in line with the new brand promise.
“With this new identity, we shall be opening more doors that will offer families the opportunity to realise their dreams, providing Ghanaian businesses with access to intra Africa trade and global markets and giving budding entrepreneurs, the tools to build a business,” he said.
The release assured customers of Access Bank of enhanced and more efficient digital platforms for their banking needs, more unique and innovative products and more rewarding benefits from its banking relationship.
The journey so far
According to the release, the new Access Bank currently was the largest retail bank in Africa with more than 29 million customers and over 27,000 staff in 12 countries across three continents.
