Seniors Tennis Open begins Nov 19

The 13th edition of the Accra Seniors Open Tennis Championship will take place at the Accra Lawn Tennis Club from November 19 to 28.

According to tournament co-ordinator, Peter Annan, 10 events under various age categories will be competed at the annual competition sponsored by Japan Motors with support from MTN.

The events are: Men’s singles, 30-39 years; 40-49 years, 50-59years and 60-69 years. The ladies’ doubles will involve those aged 30 and above.

In the men’s doubles, competitors fall within age categories of 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and above, while the mixed doubles comprise those aged 30 and above.

Mr Annan noted that there would be a ranking for the men’s singles, men’s doubles and ladies singles.
