Table Tennis: Abrefa, Beatrice cry for gov’t support
The two most exciting players at the just-ended Table Tennis national League, Derek Abrefa and Beatrice Gyasi, have made a passionate appeal to the government to help them realise their potential.
In an interview with the Graphic Sports last Saturday, top seed, Abrefa believed that with better coaching systems and good trainers Ghana could compete with the Asian nations in table tennis.

"We need support, better equipment, good coaches and trainers and good motivation and the sky will be our limit," he stated.
Beatrice, on her part, was prepared to give her best to the country with the right conditions and support .

She called for support for ladies in the sport adding that such support was crucial to take Ghana table tennis to lofty heights.
They said the awards they received at the end of the National Table Tennis League would inspire them.to give of their best and win laurels for the country.
They expressed gratitude to the president of the Ghana Table Tennis Association, Mawuko. Afadzinu and teh the hard coach Owusu Ansah, who.have been supportive of their corners .
