Okrah riding high in Sudan

Two seasons after storming the Sudanese league,former Bechem United striker  Augustine Okrah, has become one of the hottest stars following his outstanding performance.

The 23-year-old is already gunning for the goal king award this season after scoring 19 goals in the North Africa country's league with two games to spare.

Aside that, Okrah has won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award on seven occasions and scored four goals in the FA Cup, thus winning the heart of many football fans both in Ghana and Sudan.

By this performance Okrah appears to be knocking hard on the doors of Coach Avram Grant, who is on the lookout for more talents to beef up his squad as Ghana prepares to reclaim her rightful spot in continental football when the 16 countries gather in Gabon next year for the AFCON.

Okrah, who won the top scorer award in the local league three seasons ago, has been on the radar of some top European clubs and that has forced the Sudanese outfit to express interest in keeping him when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

Inspite of his superb performance in  the Sudanese league, sources close to the player hinted the Graphic Sports that Okrah would  not renew his contract but would return home after the season to pursue his career outside the continent.
