Leicester City confirm Daniel Amartey exit
Leicester City have confirmed Black Stars center-back, Daniel Amartey, will be among a list of players expected to end their stay in the club this season.
The Foxes who won the English Premier League in 2016 have been relegated from the topflight league after a disastrous campaign.
As a result, some high-profile players have been pencilled to leave the club when their contract expire in June.
Amartey who was part of the squad that won the league with the Foxes in 2016 encountered some difficult times at the King Power stadium following a horrendous injury he suffered in their Premier League 1-1 draw game against West Ham in 2018.
Despite that career threatening injury the 28-year-old bounced back strongly after his recovery to make a total of 145 appearances for the Foxes in all competition and scoring three goals and making one assist.
He would be leaving the club alongside, Turkish defender, Caglar Soyuncu, who joined from Freiburg in 2018.
Youri Tielemans is also among those leaving after he announced his exit on Instagram. He would be leaving after spending four years with the club since joining from Monaco in 2019.
Nampalys Mendy, Ryan Bertrand, Ayoze Perez and Tete are the remaining players expected to leave the King Power following the expiration of their contracts.
