Dead referee family rejects autopsy report
Family of deceased referee Kwame Kyei Andoh has rejected the autopsy report which claimed he died of ‘natural causes’.
The 21-year-old died few days after suffering brutal assault at the hands of irate fans during a third-tier league match between Gold Stars and NaaJoe United at the Bordie Park.
A post-mortem conducted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital indicated that the young promising assistant referee died of natural causes.
However, a brother of the deceased, Kofi Kyei Andoh, says the report can not be true and that he is not satisfied with the outcome.
“ How can a young person who died days after a severe beating die of natural cause? We are not happy with the report at all. They need to give us a comprehensive report as to what actually killed him,” an angry Andoh told Radio XYZ
“My brother had not been ill before the assault so how can his death be a natural cause? We are all waiting for the comprehensive report. He never complained of any sickness. He had always been an active person”, he said.
