Arthur Wilson retained as MTN FA Cup Chairman, Oloboi Commodore is Vice

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has re-appointed Skyy FC owner Wilson Arthur as Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee after successfully supervising three competitive FA Cup seasons.

Mr Arthur has been in charge of the Committee since November 2019. His first season was truncated due to the COVID-19 pandemic but under his leadership, three successive competitions have been organized in the last three seasons.

General Manager of Accra Great Olympics, Oloboi Commodore will serve as Vice Chairman of the Committee. 

Also joining the Committee as members are former Ghana player Afo Dodoo and former Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson.

The rest are Larry Opare-Otoo (member), Asenso Onyina (member) and Daniel Asante (member)

Accra Hearts of Oak won back to back FA Cup titles in 2021 and 2022 before Dreams FC beat King Faisal to win the title last season.

THEIR CORE DUTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS: 
a) Develop financial budgets for key activations and events to ensure the successful FA Cup competition for each season. 

b) Plan and execute the MTN FA Cup trophy tour. 

c) Undertake a re-launch of the FA Cup mascot and execute promotional activities (develop strategies) 

d) Lead in securing potential partnerships to enhance the financial resources of the FA Cup. 

e) Strive to achieve an incident-free competition, promoting a stance against hooliganism. 

f) Plan and execute FA Cup competition. This includes planning elements such as determination of venues, review and preparation of competition rules and regulations, recommendations on prizes and awards and budgeting. 

g) Ensure timely procurement, availability and deployment of critical resources required for the successful organization of the competition 

h) Liaise with GFA Marketing Department to develop Marketing plan, prepare branding elements and ensure delivery of any relevant commitments to sponsors/partners) Prepare and ensure adherence to Activity. 

i)Schedule for delivering the competition. This would include Launch Activities as well as promotional campaigns. 

j) Liaise with GFA Communications Department to ensure effective communication in relation to the competition. 

k) Liaise with Security Committee of the GFA to ensure that adequate security measures are put in place for the organization of the competition. 

l) Prepare and present periodic reports to GFA Executive Council covering all aspects of Committee's activities.
