NSA hands over office to regional sports directorate

The new edifice was built for the regional sports directorate following its relocation from the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra which is due to undergo renovation works.

The Director General of the NSA, Prof. Peter Twumasi, revealed at a handing over ceremony yesterday that the building was constructed through sponsorship by the Ghana Gas Company Limited as part of an agreement to finance the renovation of the Theodosia Okoh Stadium.

Execution of mandate
Prof. Twumasi said the new office at Tema would enable the Greater Accra Regional Sports Directorate to Tema to execute its mandate to develop sports within the community and the region at large.

“We decided to relocate them to Tema to help develop sports in the area. I want to take this opportunity to charge my regional director to ensure the development of sports in the area,” Prof. Twumasi said.

For his part, the Greater Accra Regional Director of Sports, Mr Richard Iddrisu Ewuntoma, described the edifice as a nice one and promised to ensure his staff members put it go good use.
