Hearts tipped to beat Dreams

Badly-bruised Accra Hearts of Oak are expected to roar to avoid another slip in their quest to win this season’s Premier League title when they descend on Dreams FC with fury at Dawu today.

Hearts face another strong test against sixth-placed Dreams FC, who have lost only once at home, against Asante Kotoko, and, therefore need to work extra hard to carry the day against a side which would be boosted by their 1-0 away win over New Edubiase United at Obuasi last Thursday.

Though the Phobians perform better away, Dreams FC will be a tough nut for them to crack this time round as both teams seek to end the first round on a positive note.

Players such as captain Robin Gnagne, Mustapha Essuman, Cosmos Dauda and Isaac Mensah could help Hearts to rise to the ocassion against the resilient Dreams side who are also comfortable playing at home.

League leaders Wa All Stars, after returning to winning ways against Kotoko in midweek, will play Berekum Chelsea away from home as they look forward to improving upon their win.

Chelsea, knowing a win for them could inspire a top four finish in the first round, will give everything out to battle the Wa lads in an attempt to finish the half on a good note.

Fifth-placed Kotoko play host to ninth-placed Techiman City in another thriller at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as they strive to return to winning ways at their backyard, while third-placed Aduana Stars look set to maintain their good form when they come face to face with Bechem United in a regional derby, after losing 1-2 to Ebusua Dwarfs away in midweek.

Liberty Professionals, after their stellar display which earned them a lone goal victory over Hearts last Thursday, return to the Carl Reindolf Park at Dansoman to play new-look Ebusua Dwarfs, with Ashantigold set to lock horns with WAFA at Obuasi tomorrow after drawing with Techiman City at Techiman last Wednesday.

Confederation Cup campaigners, Medeama SC, will welcome New Edubiase to the T&A Park at Tarkwa in their bid to revive their domestic fortunes, while Tema-based Inter Allies visit the Sekondi Stadium at Essipon as guests of Hasaacas in another encounter.
