Free entry for Queens-Zimbabwe qualifying match

Ghana’s Black Queens are expected to enjoy good support on Saturday when they play Zimbabwe in an All Africa Games qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium. This follows a decision by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association to enable fans to watch the match free. Kick off time is 3p.m.

The Queens need massive victory at home to boost their chances of qualifying for the September 4-19 Games in Brazzaville, and the gesture by the ministry and FA is to boost support for the team.

"The ministry and the GFA are moving to mobilise full support for the Black Queens and women football in general, hence the decision to grant free admission to Saturday's game," said  GFA Communication Director, Ibrahim Sannie Daara.

"We are pleading with our friends in the media to also encourage the fans to come to the game which is free to support the Black Queens to victory.

"We have all got a stake in this and we must encourage the Queens to go out there and make the country proud with the full backing of the home fans."
