Fabin reposes trust in new Starlets
Black Starlets coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, is upbeat about his team's chances in the African Under- 17 Championships after all his players were cleared by the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan.
The MRI scan is a mandatory requirement by CAFA and FIFA for the age-competitions.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic yesterday, Fabin who led the Starlets to a disastrous Africa U-17 Championship in 2013 praised his team's impressive form during their preparations which saw them beat Right to Dream Academy 3-0 and another 3-1 win over a select side from Koforidua was confident that his team would beat Sudan in their last qualifier on July 20.
Coach Fabin who is currently in Prampram where the team is camped disclosed that some Ghanaian-born stars abroad have expressed interest to be part of the team.
"We've had interest from Ghanaians in UK, US and South Africa who want to join the Black Starlets" but urged them to route their request through the FA which is the authorised body to finance their trip.
