THE festive season has kicked off for comedy lovers who had a lot to laugh about at the All White Christmas Comedy show which was held at the Snap Cinema inside the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Complex on Saturday, December 21.
Hosted by Lekzy Decomic under his Laughline comedy series, the All White Christmas Comedy show saw performances by DKB, MJ The Comedian, Augustin Dennis, Sportoo, Nii oo Nii, Tee Kay, Afia Barcelona, Comedian Waris, Original AK, Comedian Jerry, Eddy Bongo among others.
The show, which started around 7:30 p.m. gave up and coming comedians, AY, Comedian Ice, Ben Obeng, and others the opportunity to showcase their talents. They made good use of the opportunity as they whetted the appetite of patrons, many of who came clad in their white outfits ready to have a good time.

The show provided a lot of laughs
When the main event started, Lekzy Decomic came on stage and dropped some jokes which got the patrons laughing before introducing each comedian.
To enhance the experience, Lekzy engaged some of the patrons, asking them to sing any of their favourite Christmas songs and a number of them did that gladly.
Afia Barcelona was great
It was amazing to see female comedian, Afia Barcelona, perform. She made many jokes with a funny one about underground artistes, suggesting that they get their own minister to help them breakthrough in the industry because it was pathetic how some never get any recognition. On the whole, she did great, especially fusing the local language with English.
Original AK brought back memories of some presidents the country as he mimicked some of them in his funny attempt to cast out a demon from a possessed person.

He also made comparisons between African and Western musicians and their reactions when they cheat on their partners, using some of their songs as a reference point. This yielded lots of laughs.
Other comedians who brought extra energy on stage were Sportoo and Nii oo Nii. Before their performance, they entertained with some dance moves which wowed everybody in the auditorium.
Fast-rising Ghanaian-Nigerian comedian, Teekay, also did a great job cracking jokes about how the people of Labadi do funerals as well as the use of perfume by the rich and the poor. His delivery elicited a lot of laughs from patrons and he earned a lot of applause.
There was plenty for patrons to laugh about
DKB tackled Ghanaians' penchant for being late to events comparing us to other countries where punctuality is very important.
He joked about the American and British accents and as expected of him, he delivered powerfully with the audience cheering him on.
For Comedian MJ, it was a night for the Voltarians. His jokes was entirely about the powerful nature of Ewes in relation to Black magic. He cracked everyone up and even the Ewes there could not help but laugh out loud.
The last comedian to hit the stage was Augustine Dennis who talked He talked about the complex nature of greeting all the time especially with religious people and how they reply to greetings. He was also great and rocked the crowd with his gestures and jokes.
