Wa Central MP assists hospital

The Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Alhaji Rashid Pelpuo, has donated two air conditioners worth GH¢4,000 to the Wa Police Hospital in the Upper West Region.

Donating the air conditioners on behalf of Alhaji Pelpuo, who is also the Deputy Majority Leader, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha, said the items were to facilitate the services of the hospital staff to its clients.

The newly constructed hospital caters for the health care of both the police personnel and the general public.

Receiving the items, the Upper West Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kwesi Mensah Duku, who commended the donor for his kind gesture, said proper policing could best be done by the co-operation of the general public.

ACP Duku appealed to them to give the police tip-offs or hand over suspects caught indulging in crimes when the need arose and not to subject them to instant justice. He called on other benefactors to donate to the hospital to assist them to offer better services to the general public.
