NPP polling station executives to work for victory in 2016
Polling station executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region have resolved to re-dedicate themselves to the cause of the party and demonstrate a higher sense of commitment towards the aspirations of the party.
A statement by the newly formed Union of Polling Station Executives (UPSEM), which comprises all polling station executive members of the NPP in the region, pledged its support for the newly elected national executive members of the party, especially its chairman, Mr Paul Afoko, and said it would work hard to ensure victory in the 2016 general election.
Signed by Yakubu Mashud, the Co-ordinator of the association, the statement said Mr Afoko and the newly elected executive members had demonstrated courage and competence over the years and would lead the party to victory in the next elections.
It said the UPSEM was “bound together by a cord that cannot be broken and would be selfless in the pursuit of its goals.

“We will atrain our members to be politically awake and make them aware of the immense power they wield as the bedrock, the resource mobilisers and watchdogs of the party,” it said.
