NPP communicators barred from making public statements on internal issues

New Patriotic Party (NPP's) National Council of Elders of the has cautioned party officers, functionaries and communicators to desist from making public statements relating to internal issues in the party.

This follows a decision by the Council of Elders after a meeting to deliberate on current happenings within the party.

A statement jointly signed by Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyemang and Ambassador Adjei-Barwuah said the embargo on press statements also covered the electronic and social media, adding that, “anyone who violates this stipulation will be subject to the full application of the party’s disciplinary procedures.”

According to the statement, the Council of Elders noted that the welfare of the Ghanaian citizen should be of supreme concern to the party, adding, “…the welfare of all citizens is so important to the party that nothing will be spared in ensuring that the party remains united and focused to organize to secure a change in the administration of this country to alleviate the hardships of the good citizens of Ghana.”
