NDC wishes Muslims well on Ramadan
The National Democratic Congress(NDC) has extended its greetings and best wishes to all Muslims in Ghana on the occasion of Ramadan.
In a statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Mr Asiedu Nketiah, it said that this was a period to seek God’s forgiveness, purification and sanctification.
The statement asked for Allah’s blessings and guidance to enable “our Muslim brothers and sisters to endure the challenges associated with fasting.”
According to the statement, the benefits accruing from this spiritual exercise which constituted a vital component on the Muslim calendar is enormous, and it is the opinion and expectation of the NDC that our Muslim brothers and sisters would end the fast spiritually developed for an encounter with Allah.
The NDC reiterated that it shared “with our brothers and sisters the desire and zeal to fast and pray not for any selfish cause but for peace, stability and spiritual development of mankind.”
The NDC therefore urges all Ghanaians to pray for Muslims in this fasting moment for God’s strength and guidance to ensure a successful Ramadan.
