It's official - NPP axe falls on Apraku, Asa B

Official results declared by the Electoral Commission in the New Patriotic Party's special electoral college declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyerematen, Joe Ghartey, Francis Addai-Nimoh and Kofi Osei-Ameyaw as successful to contest the party's flagbearer race in October.

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku and Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng however, fell by the way as they polled 10 votes and 13 votes respectively to exit the race.

Details of the results declared by the Electoral Commission are as follows:

Nana Akufo-Addo - 598 votes

Alan Kyerematen - 59

Addai-Nimoh - 22

Joe Ghartey - 22

Osei Ameyaw - 16

Asamoah Boateng - 13

Konadu Apraku - 10

Voting was very peaceful at the 11 designated polling centres across the country.
