Ghana, Barbados commit to strengthening relationship

The Vice-President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has reiterated Ghana's commitment to deepen its relationship with Barbados.

The Vice-President said this when the Barbadian High Commissioner to Ghana, Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland, called on her at the Presidency.

The visit was to strengthen the bilateral ties between Ghana and Barbados as well as explore opportunities for mutual benefit.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude for the High Commissioner's kind wishes and congratulatory message.

"I expressed my gratitude for your kind wishes and reaffirmed our shared goal to deepen the relationship between our nations," she stated.

Discussions

The Vice-President and the Barbadian High Commissioner engaged in productive discussions that focused on key areas such as capacity building, cultural exchanges and educational collaborations.

These initiatives, the two leaders said, aimed to create valuable opportunities for human resource development in both countries, fostering a stronger partnership for the future.

"Our discussions were both warm and productive.

These initiatives will create valuable opportunities to improve the quality of human resources in both Ghana and Barbados," Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted.
