He also said the proposal of one factory in each district and a 1million dollar for each constituency would transform the lives of the people.
Nana Akufo-Addo said every civilised nation must ensure that conditions under which nurses and teachers were trained were more than satisfactory, however, in Ghana, trainees were facing all kinds of problems, including placement after training.
He promised nurses that he would give them hope when voted into power.
“It’s a firm pledge of the leadership of the NPP. It’s not an election gimmick’’ , adding that there was a better future for them under his government.
He also paid courtesy calls on the Krachiwura, Nana Mprah Besemuna, the chiefs of Borae and Bemjase, where the Bemjasehene, Nana Oblijor Kanya, called for restoration of compensation of allowances paid to resettle communities which were destroyed after the construction of the Akosombo Dam.
Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by regional executive of the party, Madam Elizabeth Ohene, Nana Owusu Yeboah and his deputy, Joseph Nayan, among others.
