
All set for CPP Congress
Nearly 2,800 delegates are converging on Sunyani, the Brong Ahafo Regional capital, where the Convention People’s Party (CPP) is holding its national delegates congress to define the fortunes of the party.
The delegates, from across the country, will decide the fate of 21 aspirants who have been cleared by the vetting committee of the party to contest the various executive positions within the party at the Sunyani Polytechnic auditorium.
The highlight of the congress, dubbed “Building Ghana’s Integrity”, is preparing the grounds for the election of a new set of national executive who will chart a new course that will lead the party into the 2016 elections.
The new officers will also preside over the election of the party’s parliamentary and presidential candidates for the 2016 polls.
