Akufo-Addo resumes campaign
A presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has resumed his campaign to be elected the party's nominee for the 2016 presidential election.
He resumed his campaign yesterday from his home region, the Eastern Region.
It will be recalled that Nana Akufo-Addo suspended his campaign on August 1, 2014 for the flag bearer slot of the party to enable party officers in the regions and constituencies to concentrate on the registration exercise.
This was contained in a press statement in which he congratulated all officers of the NPP on their vigilance during the just-ended limited voters registration exercise.

In the statement, he lauded all officers at the national, regional, constituency, electoral area and polling station levels for their display of vigilance.
“I also thank all well-wishers across the country who in diverse ways helped NPP agents at the various registration centres, including feeding them,” he stated.
Going round and monitoring the registration exercise at a few centres in four regions during the period, Nana Akufo-Addo said he was left in no doubt whatsoever that NPP agents did their utmost best in ensuring that, as far as possible, only eligible voters found their names into the voters register.
“I highly commend them for their efforts, knowing that they will at all times protect the interests of our great party and the nation when called upon,” he declared.
