Turn your ideas into wealth creation ventures — Agyapong
The Executive Chairman of the Zoomlion Group of Companies, Dr Joseph Siaw Agyapong, has urged the youth to capitalise on their creativeness in order to create wealth.
He explained that wealth creation did not always begin with capital but a vision and a desire to achieve that vision.
Dr Agyapong was addressing delegates at the Bezalel Conference organised by the Men’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost in Accra.
The Bezalel conference aims at equipping Christians to manage their businesses and create more employment avenues and ultimately improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.
He said it was imperative that people took chances irrespective of the risk involved in order to succeed and advised that in doing so, there was the need to explore and investigate and research issues.
Dr Agyapong, who is also an Elder of the Church of Pentecost, advised the youth not to engage in unhealthy competition in order not to waste resources, but rather consult in order to harness their potentials.
He further noted that it was important to identify available resources and potentials to ensure success in the establishment of businesses.
He described Ghana as a liberal country and advised delegates to venture into entrepreneurship taking advantage of modern trends.
Dr Agyapong also entreated the delegates to seek divine direction from God in every field of endeavour in order to be successful.
The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah, also commended the national executive of the men’s ministry and the planning committee for organising the Bezalel conference.
He noted that some Christians did not portray Christ in everything they were doing including their businesses and in their marriages.
He, therefore, charged the men’s fellowship to show the way by becoming the light of God.
Apostle Onyinah stated that the vision of the church for the next five years was to impact the next generation, adding, “the church shall do so by fanning the pentecostal fire and setting people’s hearts on fire.”
The Director of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry, Apostle Julius Asante-Ayeh, said that, “Ghana is graciously blessed by God with all the resources to make its citizens live better lives, one key strategy we can use to effectively develop our human and material resources is through entrepreneurship,” he stressed.
The conference, which was attended by members from across the country, was on the theme “My life, my work, my worship”.
