Tasty Tom rewards loyal consumers

Big winnings have been recorded in the ongoing Tasty Tom Tomato Paste Promotion in the Northern and Central regions, with more homemakers and young self-employed women drawing handsome cash rewards from the premium tomato brand.

The Tasty Tom promo, known on the market as ‘Ma Yente Wonka!’, was launched two months ago to reward consumers for their loyalty and give away a variety of exciting prizes, including cash and airtime, to empower consumers to stay connected to their families and loved ones.

The prizes for this nationwide promotion are redeemed instantly and digitally by phone.

Miss Faustina Binney, a 30-year-old chop bar operator at Agona Swedru who won GH¢ 5,000, said she had never dreamt of ever touching that kind of money in her life, much more owning it. She praised the management of Tasty Tom Tomato Paste for the simplicity of the promotion.

“With this gift from Tasty Tom, I will buy more materials for my business and expand my operations,” Miss Binney said.

In Accra, another lucky consumer, Regina Aidoo, a resident of Mamprobi, could not believe it when she opened a tin of Tasty Tom tomato paste and found that she had won GH¢ 10,000.

Miss Aidoo, 25, a hairdresser, stated that until the cheque for GH¢ 10,000 was given to her, she did not believe that she could “become a millionaire” by merely opening a tin of Tasty Tom.

A string of winnings have also been recorded in the Northern Region, the most notable among them being in Tamale where Miss Apiphemai Allotey, a 36-year-old food vendor at Vittin Police Barrier, took home a prize of GH¢ 1,000.

“This promotion is based on our understanding of the importance of the Ghanaian family system and how Ghanaians generally like to stay connected to their loved ones,” the Brand Manager of Tasty Tom Tomato Paste, Miss Dinah Adu-Asare, said.

Consumers win instantly if they text correctly to the short code, 1942. Cash prize winners are sent MTN Mobile money tokens for instant redemption at any MTN Vendor point, while winners of airtime instantly have their prizes loaded on to their phones.

Winners of cash prizes ranging from GH¢1,000 to GH¢10,000 are directed to call a dedicated phone line to arrange direct delivery of their prizes.
The Tasty Tom ‘Ma Yente Wonka’ Promotion will run until the end of October.
