Support government to develop nation — Senior Minister
The Senior Minister, Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo, last Tuesday donated GH¢6,000 worth of assorted items and GH¢1,000 to the Good Shepherd Outreach Orphanage at Akwatia in the Eastern for the upkeep of the children.
The items included edible oil, soft drinks, plastic chairs, clothes

He advised the management of the orphanage to instill good morals and discipline in the children, in addition to offering them
He also donated 20 bags of cement to the orphanage to complete a building that was being put up to accommodate the children.

The Proprietor of the orphanage, Madam Asantewaa Agyei, thanked
She said the home was putting up permanent accommodation that was currently at the lintel level and needed help to get it completed as soon as possible.

Earlier in the day, the Senior Minister and his entourage had joined Muslims in Akwatia to celebrate the Eid-ul-Adha Festival, during which he interacted with the District Chief Imam, Alhaji Adamu Yussif.
He said roads in Akwatia had been awarded on contract and would soon be tarred.
