Subah Infosolution committed to fight sim box fraud

The Managing Director (MD) of Subah Infosolutions Ghana Limited, a leading Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunications

Solutions Provider, Mr Birendra Sasmal, says the company stands committed to the fight against sim-box fraud in the country.

He said the company had put in place systems that could easily detect the crime and bring perpetrators to book.

He, therefore, urged the government to take advantage of their presence and save the nation from the criminal activity.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic on the sidelines of the Africa Mobile and Information Communications Technology ( ICT) Expo 2015 at the Accra International Conference centre last Wednesday, the MD said Subah was working with the National Communications Authority ( NCA) to clamp down on the fraudulent acts.

The Expo

The three-day Expo is being organised by Coasters Company Limited, an events organising company, in conjunction with the Ministry of Communications.

Participants included players in the ICT and a across section of the general public.

The objective of the Expo was to harness ICT goals to create jobs and engender development at a faster pace in Africa countries.

Subah Infosolutions is one of the major sponsors of the Expo, which was officially opened by the Vice President, Mr Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur

Mr Sasmal said Subah Infosolutions, which had also been providing technical support to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police on how to combat sim-box fraud in the country, had the capacity to continue to lead the way deep into the future.

Mr Sasmal described sim-box fraud as one of the evils that could scuttle economic advancement for which reason everything must be done to bring it under control.

Youth development

He said the company was determined to support young graduates and other youths to develop their potentials in IT.

That was why, he said, the company continued to roll out progressive programmes to support the youth.
