Robbery attacks on Amanfro residents; Police arrest 37 people in swoop
Thirty-seven people suspected to be involved in the persistent robbery attacks on residents of Amanfro, near Kasoa, were last Saturday arrested in a police swoop in four suburbs in the area.
The suspects, including one female, were rounded up in Ngleshie Amanfro, Top Town, American Farm and Nurses Quarters.

The exercise, which took the form of dawn raids into the dens of suspected criminals, was jointly carried out by the Accra Regional Police Command and the Amanfro District Police Command.
Items retrieved from the suspected criminals included four unregistered motorbikes, 102 wrapped pieces of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and a quantity of whitish substance suspected to be heroine .

Other items found during a search on them by the police included three machetes, one military uniform, six pairs of scissors, three laptops, seven mobile phones, five lighters and kitchen knives.
The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohunu, who led the operation, told journalists after the exercise that those arrested would be screened "and those found culpable will be processed for court."
