Rashida Nasamu sells Ghana in the UK

The Chief Executive Officer of I-ZAR Group, Ms Rashida Saani Nasamu has called for mutual trade opportunities between the European Union (EU) and Africa for the benefit of the two blocks.

She noted that mutual trade opportunities were indispensable to the growth of African economies and said current EU policies tended to promote dependence, a situation which neither benefitted the EU nor Africa.

The Ghanaian young consultant and entrepreneur, was invited to the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) conference to deliver a presentation on the need for  bigger trade relations between the UK and Ghana for a direct impact on up- and- coming entrepreneurs.

 

As one of the TV personality pioneers of the Made in Ghana‚ advocacy media campaigns that have gradually grown into a national phenomenon, and who is also the brain behind the I-ZAR Group, the former morning TV host was chosen from Ghana based on her passion for infant entrepreneurial development and steady nurture of various affiliates of the I-ZAR group.

The event which was aired live on BBC saw in attendance   many stakeholders and observers from in and outside  the UK.

Speaking at the event, Rashida noted that, trade is a guaranteed source of Africa’s‚ growth and transition out of poverty.  She, therefore, called for fair trade deals between Africa and the EU. 

The event comes on the heels of the Africa CEO forum on. africapitalism in Geneva, Switzerland, which was moderated by Ms Nasamu. The Africa CEO Forum is the world’s‚ leading high-level international meeting of African CEOs that is organised annually to discuss the future of the African continent which attracts the most respected and influential people driving the growth of Africa.
