PHOTOS: Graphic Road decongested

Unauthorised structures and refuse have been cleared from the Graphic Road as part of the 'Make Accra Work' campaign led by the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).

The exercise which was conducted on the morning of Tuesday, May 18, 2021, was supervised by 600 security personnel drawn from the Ghana Military, Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service.

Workers of waste management company Zoomlion Ghana Limited were also on hand to gather and dispose of refuse that was created during the exercise.

The exercise cleared filth from the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange to the former Farisco Traffic Lights and to the TUC.

It also rid the Graphic Road of the activities of traders who normally exhibit their wares including foodstuffs, vegetables and jewellery on the pavements and medians.
