Odotobri Rural Bank receives award

The Odotobri Rural Bank Limited at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District in the Ashanti Region has been rewarded with the Gold category of the International Star for Leadership in Quality Awards at the Concorde Convention Hall in Paris.

The bank received this prestigious international award for its commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation.

The 2015 International Quality Awards were put together by the BID Group, with presentations to companies and organisations drawn from 49 countries around the world.

Quality core focus

The President of the BID Group, Mr Jose E. Prieto, who made the presentation, remarked that the Odotobri Rural Bank had made quality a core focus for continued improvement in its management to maintain leadership in its sector and community.

According to him, the recipients of the awards were icons of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation, making them models for others in their sectors.

The purpose of the 2015 Awards was to recognise the commitment to quality of those rewarded in the top areas of business, services and industry.

Mr Siaka Baba Ahmed, the Chief Executive Officer of the Odotobri Rural Bank, who received the award on behalf of the bank and its board of directors dedicated the award to the shareholders and customers of bank.

He shared with the gathering of international leaders the bank's achievements to date, as well as its future ambitions and goals.

Competitive advantage

He said despite the current difficult global economic climate, the bank strived to excel in quality each day, creating a competitive advantage in its industry.

“Had it not been the loyalty of our customers and the commitment of shareholders, we would not have been where we are now,” he added.

According to him, the international recognition meant a lot more work to be done and that he and his management team would spare no effort to maintain or improve upon the quality of operations he believed would enhance the image of the bank.
