NGO supports Nkum Catholic Basic School

GIVE to Eat Ghana Mission, a Christian non-governmental organisation (NGO) has handed over a newly constructed place of convenience to the Agona Nkum Catholic Basic School in the Agona West Municipality.

The project, funded by the NGO, was constructed upon a request by the school, which has been adopted by the foundation since 2010.

Hand over
At the handing over ceremony, the founder of the NGO, Rev. Dr Kingsley Arthur, said as a native of the town he was obliged to help provide some of the needs of the people.

He said the government alone could not tackle the development needs of all communities and urged people in privileged positions to assist the government to meet the needs of the people.

He expressed the hope that the new facility would improve sanitation in the school as well as keep the pupils in the classroom.

Rev. Dr Arthur advised the pupils to take their studies seriously so as to acquire grades that would enable them to further their education and urged them to avoid all distractions that had the tendency to jeopardise their academic pursuit.

Gratitude
The headteacher of the school, Mr Noah Arthur, commended the NGO for its continuous support for the school.

He said meals served to the pupils had increased enrolment and made school attendance regular, indicating that the school would continue to strengthen its bond with the organisation.
