Below are more pictures of 22-year-old Francisca Oteng-Mensah, who is Parliament-bound after winning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary in the Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
Ms Oteng-Mensah, a second-year law student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), polled 321 votes to beat the incumbent MP for the constituency, Kofi Frempong, who polled 187 votes. Analysts believe that with Kwabre-East being an NPP stronghold, Ms Oteng-Mensah is all but certain to be in Parliament in 2016.
The other contestants, Osei Poku and K. Adjeo Sefa, polled 202 and 33 votes respectively.
