Minister fetes children, physically challenged and aged

More than 7,000 children, some elderly and physically challenged people were entertained at a Christmas party organised for them by the Minister of Energy, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, at Ampain in the Ellembelle District in the Western Region.

The minister donated more than 10,000 exercise books, mathematical sets and other educational materials to the children.

Mr Buah said children represented the future of the country and advised parents to pay particular attention to the progress of their children in school.

He pledged his continued support to education, health and other development projects to ensure the development of the district.

To demonstrate his commitment to the education of children, he said he had paid for a year’s subscription of the Junior Graphic to enhance reading and learning among pupils in basic and second-cycle schools in the area.
