Managing Director of micro-finance company found dead

The Managing Director of GH Money Link, a micro-finance company in Kumasi, Ms Grace Hammond, was found dead in her bedroom at Bremang Nkwantwoma, a Kumasi suburb, last Sunday night.

Ms Hammond, believed to be in her mid-40s, was also a teacher at the Kronom M/A Primary School B.

A source close to the deceased told the Daily Graphic yesterday that Ms Hammond’s co-tenants realised yesterday that the woman, who had been staying alone, with no relative coming to visit her, had not been seen for three days.

After contemplating for some time, the tenants drew closer to her door, where they smelt a stench emanating from her room.

At that point, they became suspicious and immediately made a report to the police.

When they arrived at the house, the police forcibly opened her door, only to find her body lying on the floor  holding a toothbrush.

The body has since been deposited at the Ebenezer Morgue at Tafo awaiting autopsy.

The police confirmed the story and said investigations had commenced into the matter.
