Kumasi Methodist Bishop condemns self-styled prophets
The Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese of the Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Christopher Andam, has expressed concern about the upsurge in self-styled prophets in the country whose behavior are disincentive to the growth of Christendom.
He stressed that, these self-styled prophets as seers and equivocators have centered their prophesies around the acquisition of visas, materialism and other trivial issues all meant to deceive the people and created disaffection among them
Bishop Andam therefore admonished Christian leaders to gather courage and condemn the trend.
Preaching the Sermon at the induction of the Very Rev.Stephen Owusu as the new Diocesan Synod Secretary in Kumasi, Bishop Andam indicated that, Christianity was focused on salvaging the society from evil deeds

He noted that, the true intention of the gospel had been relegated to the background with some pastors pursuing their own selfish interests.
Rt.Rev.Andam advised the new Synod Secretary to demonstrate good leadership qualities and work in harmony with all identifiable groups in the Diocese
He also urged him to be humble and strive to pursue the churche's agenda with zeal to advance Methodism.
Very Rev. Owusu , who is the Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Kmasi Circuit of the Methodist Church for his part promised to work diligently to grow the Diocese to appreciable level.
