Golden Tulip Kumasi City has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to business promotion in the Ashanti Region at the 10th Ashanti Business Excellence Awards (ABEA) held in Kumasi.
The hotel won a platinum award in the tourism category at the event which was well attended by industry players, business executives and traditional rulers in Ashanti.
Organised under the auspices of the Manhyia Palace, ABEA seeks to acknowledge the vital contribution of businesses to the development of the Ashanti Region and Ghana.
The citation established the facility as the most prestigious and only four-Star hotel in the Ashanti Region, combining international standard business and leisure accommodation with luxury, value for money and modern facilities.
It further outlined that the hotel was undoubtedly the facility of preference for the discerning traveller and a venue for important national and international conferences; hosting many VVIPs .
Top executives of the hotel, including the General Manager, Mr Sam Obiri Aduama, the Marketing Manager, Ms Jackie Senoo, the Chief Engineer, Mr Richard Otorbrise and the Financial Controller, Mr Prosper Gati, were on hand to receive the award.
In a short remark, Mr Aduama thanked the organisers for using the platform to motivate companies to offer their best to ensure development in Ashanti Region.
Golden Tulip,Kumasi City, he reiterated, had invested in the delivery of world class services in the Ashanti Region and beyond since it prides itself as the only four-Star facility in the region.
“The maintenance of such services is management’s topmost priority,” he said.
