Tamale College of Education old students support alma mater

The 2004 Year Group of the Tamale College of Education (TACE) has presented five sewing machines to the Vocational and Technical Education Department of the college to enhance teaching and learning.

The donation, valued at over GH¢10,000, includes electric and industrial sewing machines to equip students with the necessary tools to develop their skills and pursue careers in the fashion and garment industry.

The initiative aims to complement the government’s efforts in investing in vocational and technical education.

Commitment

Presenting the items, the leader of the 2004 Year Group, Ibrahim Nantomah, described the donation as a gesture of appreciation and commitment to the institution that nurtured them.

“The practical aspect of education is key in preparing students for the job market.

These machines will help lecturers provide hands-on training, making learning easier and more effective,” he stated.

He expressed hope that the machines would be used effectively to benefit students and contribute to the growth of the institution.

“This donation is our way of supporting our alma mater, and we want to see it grow. We hope the machines will be put to good use,” he said.

Gratitude

For his part, the Principal of TACE, Dr Sulemana Iddrisu, expressed gratitude to the 2004 Year Group and said the items would go a long way to improve practical learning.

He also encouraged other alumni groups to follow the example set by the 2004 Year Group and contribute to the college’s growth.
