Prudential Bank pay bills of 30 children at 37 Military Hospital
Prudential Bank has donated GH¢20,000 to support the payment of medical bills for 30 children at the Paediatric Department of the 37 Military Hospital.
The bank also used the donation as an opportunity to present chocolates and piggy banks to encourage savings among the children.
The donation formed part of the bank’s annual outreach programme, which is done in the first quarter of each year.
Quality health care
Making the presentation to the hospital, the Brand Manager of Prudential Bank, Jamilla Disu, said that the bank’s gesture was in fulfilment of the bank’s corporate social responsibility to support the vulnerable in society.

“Promoting quality health delivery is a core part of our CSR pillars and occasionally, we go out to demonstrate this.
This year, the lot has fallen on 37 Military Hospital’s Paediatric Department and as our closest neighbours, we are here to present a token to these beautiful children in your wards and pay for those who cannot afford their medical bills at this time.
“It is our belief that this gesture will go a long way to impact the lives of these children,” she added.
The acting Head of the Paediatric Department of the hospital, Dr Sheila Asamoah Okyere, who received the items and cheque on behalf of the hospital, expressed the facility’s gratitude for the donation, which she described as a thoughtful gesture, which would help bring relief to the beneficiaries.
She also called for more support for the department in future.
“We are elated for your benevolence. It is really a surprise to us, and we will make sure every child receives a gift.
Also, be assured that the funds will be used for the intended purpose for which it has been made.
It is our plea that you make 37 Military Hospital a constant destination for these donations annually,” she said.
