EMP donates to Echoing Hills Village
The Ebenezer Methodist Professionals (EMP), a group within the Northern Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Madina, has donated items estimated at GH₡30,000.00 to the Echoing Hills Village (EHV), a facility for orphans and children with disability.
The President of EMP, Mr Tweneboa Kodua Fokuo, presented the items to the Programme Assistant at EHV, Ms Marigold Cobbina, at the facility last Tuesday (January 1).
Rationale
He explained that the donation was part of the group’s efforts to support marginalised and vulnerable people in the society.
“The idea could not have come at a better time when we just celebrated Christmas, and have successfully crossed over into a new year”, he said.
He said the group would continue to visit the village to make donations from time to time.
Mr Fokuo added that it set a good tone for the New Year, and was confident that the gesture was going to encourage the orphans.
Appreciation
Ms
Ms Cobbina who received the items on behalf of the Village commended the group and the Methodist Church for choosing to celebrate the new year with residents.
“Management of the facility has been trying its best to ensure that children and adults in the facility are well catered for, and therefore, we appreciate the donation as it would go a long way to sustaining the place for a period”, she said.
