NPP Parliamentary aspirant accused of stealing over 1000 bags of fertiliser

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Hemang Lower Denkyira constituency, Bright Wireko Brobbey, and 17 others have been accused of stealing over 1000 fertilisers belonging to the Ghana Cocoa Board.

Brobbey is said to have stolen the fertilisers and shared it to NPP delegates prior to the party’s primaries in June, Accra-based radio station, Starr FM reported Thursday.

The District cocoa officer in the area was reported to have connived with them to distribute the cocoa to the delegates, many of whom were not farmers, to induce them to vote for Brobbey.

They have since been charged in a Cape Coast court with aiding and abetment of crime and stealing and have been granted bail.
