CCTV exposes laptop thief

A 65-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly stole a laptop belonging to the Accra Brewery Limited has been put before an Accra Magistrate Court.

George Pensah Okatah pleaded not guilty to the charge of stealing.

He was granted bail in the sum of GH¢6,000 by the court presided over by Mr Isaac Addo. 

The facts of the case as presented by Chief Inspector Yeboah to the court were that Okatah, a security officer at the Accra Brewery Limited, who was on duty on July 26, 2016, stole the laptop from a vehicle on the compound of the company which was captured by a CCTV.

According to the prosecution, other physical investigations carried out revealed that indeed Okatah stole the laptop valued at GH¢1,500.

Okatah was arrested and put before the court.
